Our Story


We are an energetic, friendly and professional training, development and coaching business, based in the Midlands, Lichfield, Staffordshire.  We can offer all the expertise of an in-house learning and development department to support leadership and management development, because we have the skills and experience gained across all kinds of business sectors. This allow us to add value to your business; by giving a fresh perspective that will complement your existing approach. You can choose to work with us as little or as much as you feel is right for your business. Our aim is to support you by having a positive impact on your people, your teams and your business.

With over 25 years of experience, our breadth and depth of knowledge enables us to take on any  training and development project, no matter how large or small, strategic or tactical, and see it through from beginning to end.  Our team have a strong track record in leadership and management, are great role models and we will always work with you to demonstrate those behaviours when working with your organisation. Our team are also experienced in delivering quality ilm and CMI development and are seeking to support on new style apprenticeship programmes.

Monkeys to Manage Development Director, Tracey Willmott, is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and a qualified coach and member with the International Coaching Federation, and an NLP Practitioner.  Tracey has a wealth of operational, OD, leadership and management training and human resource experience at various manager and director levels.

MTM143Tracey was Human Resource Development Director with Aramark a global facilities company before founding and co-running award winning Eat the Elephant training and development company in 2004. That success and a continued hunger and passion to support businesses improve their people results with positive thinking, coaching and training and development was what led Tracey to establish Monkeys to Manage.  During her career, Tracey, has also worked for other consultancies with experience in Europe and Canada. Tracey has worked on projects for corporate blue-chip companies and medium sized businesses including Walt Disney, a well know European credit card company, Whitbread; Central England Co-operative, Wrekin Housing Trust, Virgin Trains and Webb Hotel Group to name a few.

Our approach means we like to spend time getting to know you and your business, allowing us to offer training and development interventions that will create a positive people difference and change, to make a measurable difference.

None of our services are “off-the-shelf” because our experience has shown that every business is unique and each business has their own priorities and aspirations. We’re not like consultants you may have dealt with previously; we won’t make recommendations, deliver and simply walk away. If you need help implementing, monitoring and reviewing – we can meet that need too. ‘Real –relationships’ are the foundation of our business success and continuity.

As our client, you will always remain in the driving seat. We might at times, challenge your thinking and suggest alternative ways of doing things; in a constructive and supportive manner.
